About me

Recognising you as the individual you are and dedicated to building trust and supporting your wellbeing.

Working with me

I can offer you a consistent, reliable, confidential space where we can work together to explore the challenges you’re facing and support you in making the changes you want in your life.

My approach is warm, empathic, and non-judgemental. I usually work in a non-directive way but am flexible around what you need to get the most from our sessions.

In our sessions, my focus is fully on you and my hope is that we can build a trusting relationship where you feel safe to speak openly and honestly about what may be troubling you.

You’re free to bring whatever feels important. Whether it’s something happening in your life now, or something from the past.

You set the pace, and you choose what to share and when.

Supporting people over the years

Like many people, counselling is something I came to later in my working life and after experiencing therapy myself.

Before qualifying as a counsellor, I spent several years working in roles in organisations in the public and private sector that centred largely around human rights, health, and domestic abuse.

I enjoyed my previous roles but found myself wanting more, wanting to be able to offer more direct support, and so embarked on retraining as a counsellor.

Qualifications and training

I’m fully qualified and insured and am an Accredited Registrant Member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS). I’ve undertaken further training to qualify as an online counsellor.

I attend regular training to expand and deepen my knowledge in specific areas. This has included attending training on trauma, neurodivergence, intersectionality, safeguarding, privilege and otherness, gender, sexual and erotic relationship diversity, and bereavement.
